Steve Waterman is considered one of the top British jazz trumpeters both at home and on the international scene,  and is a winner of numerous awards.  As a session musician Steve has worked and recorded with George Michael , Van Morrison, Tom Jones and Bjork plus studio sessions for TV, radio and film.

A highly respected jazz trumpeter, Steve has been involved in a broad range of projects, some that have their foot firmly in the mainstream/ Bop / Hard Bop tradition and other projects that are more on the side of the Avant guarde . You can hear him on recordings by American composer Carla Bley , Alan Barnes , George Haslam , John Surman and Don Weller and has worked along side many others, too many to list .  He has performed as far afield as Cuba, where he was invited to perform at the Havana Jazz Festival as a guest of Chucho Valdes, with a 25 piece big band consisting of many great Cuban musicians .

Steve Waterman will be bringing some of his arrangements of Christmas music with him. Expect swinging bebop and Latin grooves breathing fresh life and energy into the Christmas songs we know so well . The Quintet also features its members as talented composers with original compositions from Steve, Neil and Martin Jenkins.

Terry Quinney has been based in southwest England since 2009.  Since moving to the UK Terry has quickly become a fixture on the jazz scene in the south of the country. As co-leader of the ‘The Sound Of BlueNote’ Terry has performed with UK jazz icons such as Nigel Price, Ian Shaw, Mark Nightingale, Alan Barnes, Dave O’Higgins, Gilad Atzmon, Orphy Robinson and Jim Mullen.

Scottish Guitarist Neil Burns has been emersed in the south west jazz scene for many years. He has performed all over Europe and is a regular calibrator of top trumpeter Steve Waterman , Guitar legend Jim Mullen vibraphonist Roger Beaujolais and has also worked with Jacqui Dankworth, Zoe Rahman , Simon Spillett, Dave Newton,Mark Bassey , Bobby Wellins, Greg Abate and the Haggis Horns, to name a few. A melodic guitarist steeped in the jazz guitar tradition.
