Andrew Baker Quartet

Andrew is a UK and European based saxophonist, composer and producer.

This concert brings together Andrew Baker on tenor sax and compositions, Thomas Gibbs on piano, Calum Gourlay on double bass and Corrie Dick on drums. Baker presents his music accompanied by some of the finest and most exciting musicians on the UK jazz scene.

Andrew studied music as an undergraduate at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, where he studied with Tommy Smith and Julian Arguelles. He also has a master’s degree in jazz performance and modern music from the Liceu Conservatory of Music in Barcelona, ​​Spain, where he studied with American saxophonist Bill McHenry.

He has performed with world renowned artists such as Masa Kamaguchi, Albert Bover, Marc Michel, Michael League, Snarky Puppy, Lee-Scratch Perry, Roots Manuva, Yotam Silverstein, Juan ‘Cotito’ Medrano, Juan Daniel Pastor, Bill McHenry, Joe McPhee, Chris Corsano, Liam Nobel, Calum Gourlay, Corrie Dick, Felix Rossy, Carles Benavent, Carlos Falanga, Gran Ensemble del Liceu, Toni Vaquer, Bill Evans, Randy Brecker, Paolo Fresu, Philip Cardwell, Doug Hough, Pete Johnstone, Brodie Jarvie, Ken Ychicawa, Giuseppe Campisi, Joan Casares and many more.
